PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THERE ARE NO IN-PERSON COURT APPEARANCES SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME.  ALL COURT SESSIONS ARE BEING HELD VIRTUALLY USING THE MEETING APPLICATION ZOOM.  IF YOU HAVE A MANDATORY COURT APPEARANCE SUMMONS OR WOULD LIKE TO CONTEST YOUR TICKET OR COMPLAINT PLEASE CONTACT THE MOUNT LAUREL MUNICIPAL COURT STAFF TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS ON APPEARING VIRTUALLY.  YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER IN ORDER TO BE SCHEDULED FOR VIRTUAL COURT.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS, PLEASE CONTACT THE COURT STAFF TO MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS.

COURT GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Mount Laurel Municipal Court Administrator’s Office business hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.  The office will be operating under a Summer Hours schedule from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 2022.  There will be extended hours on Monday through Thursday and the office will be closed every Friday.  During the Summer schedule Monday’s hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.  Tuesday through Thursday’s hours will be 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM.

Municipal Court sessions are held the first four Tuesdays of the month and the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM

All court matters must be scheduled in advance and it is recommended that you carefully review your court documents.  Traffic tickets contain printed information on either the front or back concerning penalty payments, plea and court scheduling.  Criminal and other matters have court dates assigned on the face of the complaint.  When calling to inquire about your court matter it is vital that you have your ticket and/or summons number available.  The Court payment window accepts cash, check, money order and all credit/debit cards (except American Express).  To make a traffic ticket or traffic time payment via the internet or for information regarding penalty amounts and/or points log onto www.njcourts.gov.
The Court office can also accept credit card payments over the phone.

Cases concerning posting bail must be addressed in person at either the Court Office or Police Department.

MEDIATION INFORMATION:

Mediation is also scheduled through the Municipal Court and is held on the second Wednesday of each month starting at 7:00 PM.  The Mediation dispute resolution program is sponsored by the County of Burlington and is extremely successful in solving most neighborhood disputes.

DIRECTIONS TO THE COURTHOUSE

From the New Jersey Turnpike:

Follow the NJTP to Exit #4 which will bring you onto Route 73 North. Follow Route 73 North until you see signs for Route 38 East. Exit onto Route 38 East and continue until you see the Moorestown Mall on the right side of the road. Approximately SIX traffic lights past the Moorestown Mall you will see a Gas Station on the right side of the roadway. This is Mount Laurel Road. Turn right onto Mount Laurel Road and continue down about 1/4 mile and the Municipal Court is on the left-hand side.

From I-295 South:

Take Exit 40 for Route 38 West. Continue following Route 38 West for three traffic lights. Mount Laurel Road will be the third traffic light – take the “all turns” exit and cross over Route 38. Once you cross Route 38 the Municipal Court will be approximately ¼ mile down the road on the left-hand side.

From I-295 North:

Take Exit 40B for Route 38 West. Follow directions above.
