Message from the Mayor

As per the National Weather Service, the Township of Mount Laurel is under a Winter Storm Warning.  A strong low pressure system will develop off the east coast and send precipitation in two waves.  The first wave will be a nuisance but could be dangerous if ice becomes part of the equation, and there is a chance of that happening.  The bulk of the precipitation will arrive tomorrow, with total snow accumulations ranging from 8 to 12 inches with some forecasting as much as 18 inches.

Please take all necessary precautions to prepare for this storm, including the possibility of widespread power outages.  The storm is forecast to have winds of 25 to 35 MPH with higher gusts.  The snow is expected to be a heavy, wet snow, much like two weeks ago.

If possible, please remove all cars from the street as snow accumulates, since the Township will start to plow when two inches accumulates.  Also, remove all portable basketball hoops from the street.

Please be patient.  If the snow accumulates as expected, it will take the Township 16-20 hours to complete the entire Township.

Be kind to your neighbors and please check on the elderly and the infirmed.  Please take care of your pets as well.
